The whole truth about cruises
A cruise is so convenient! While you are enjoying a cocktail by the pool or sleeping, your hotel moves from city to city, from state to state.
But they say it’s not cheap.
Is it true? What are the cruises? How much do they cost? All the details have been revealed to us by the specialists of the travel agency “Visa Shop”.
The price is from 15,000 per person.
The cost of cruises starts at 15 – 17 thousand rubles per person. These are, as a rule, short-term trips for five days.
For example:
- UAE – Qatar – Bahrain – Oman tour costs from 16 000
- Cuba – Jamaica – Cayman Islands – Mexico – 30,000
- South Africa and the beaches of Mozambique – from 25 000
- Italy – Malta – Spain – France – from 25 000 rubles.
Often cruise companies announce sales, there are also “burning” tours, when you can buy a ticket and from 12 000 rubles. But always take into account the additional fees (port, service), which add to the cost of the cruise about 10,000-12,000 rubles per person.
What’s in the price?
The minimum package includes accommodation, three meals a day and an entertainment programme on board.
Everything else – excursions, extra food, alcoholic beverages, spas, excursions – for an additional fee.
There are cruise companies that carry children under 17 years of age on some routes free of charge.
Some have their own apps where you can order excursions and other services directly on the liner. Special bracelets equipped with gps to see where your family members or friends are travelling with you.
Which areas do the cruises go on?
Probably all over the place.
Mediterranean Sea, Northern Europe, oceans, Asia, from Antarctica to Norway – cruises are common all over the world.
Examples of Mediterranean routes:
- Italy – France – Spain – UK – Portugal
- Italy – Malta – Spain – France
- Italy – Spain – France

Can I go on a trip around the world?
It is possible to do so! There are such offers in the market.
Around the world sea journey lasts 119 days. The cost is around one million rubles per person.
But in such trips it is advised to go only to experienced “cruisers”, who have already tasted this type of rest, because sometimes it is in the sea for 5-6 days in a row, without stops, can be difficult.
For “warm-up” you can go to “Grand Voyage”. This is a trip from the UAE to Europe. It lasts 21 days. It costs about 150 thousand rubles per person.
Still from the category of long, unusual cruises – a trip across the Norwegian Sea to Svalbard.
Or from Melbourne to Civitavecchia (from Australia to Italy through Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Jordan, Egypt and Greece).
These trips cost within 300,000 rubles per person.
Is it comfortable on a liner?
All liners are real 5* hotels on water from the very beginning.
And inside, as well as hotels, they are divided into classes. From “economy” to “presidential suite”.
And just like hotels, liners differ in infrastructure. The number and types of swimming pools, bars, concert programs – it is different everywhere.
There are liners on which Cirque du Soleil artists perform for free
And one cruise company even has a special club for rich tourists, that is, a separate zone on the liner with its swimming pools, bars and restaurants. And everything works there according to the “all-inclusive” system.
What kind of visas do you need?
As a rule, we need visas for the countries where the liner will go.
But, for example, the UK can be visited as part of a cruise and without a visa. It will be available to you at the port when you arrive, it will be a day trip and you will only be able to travel as part of a group, but it is enough to enjoy your stay in this country.
But Mexico, on the contrary, has tightened visa rules for cruise passengers. Now you need to issue a visa to enter the country, and the electronic permission, which is usually traveled with all other tourists, cruise passengers are not suitable.
