BILLY MITCHELL – Since Lindisfarne's retirement in 2003, Billy has embarked on a very successful solo career with his Backtrackin' show and CD, and in 2005 he recorded The Devil's Ground album, which received critical acclaim and extensive radio play. Roots is thrilled to present this superb artist.

And in the week of the Rothbury Traditional Music Festival, Billy will be supported by a stunningly talented local fiddler, STUART FENWICK.

Handy Award winner is on tour in the UK with his authentic Delta and Urban blues, along with his own songs.  “He is one of the few players who can play Robert Johnson material with conviction and power”. CATHRYN CRAIG & BRIAN WILLOUGHBY – American singer-songwriter Cathryn and accomplished British guitarist Brian create an intimate atmosphere with songs about life experience, coupled with amusing anecdotes. Their 'Anglicised Americana' blurs music boundaries, showcasing Cathryn’s voice and Brian’s guitar and their intricately crafted songs in a unique and dynamic way.  Admission £8
